On Monday, March 2, Brockport High School senior Claire Gratto traveled to Albany to reunite with the NYSSMA Conference All State Vocal Jazz Ensemble as they performed two concerts at the State Capitol for the legislators and public on the Concourse.

Claire met with Senators Ortt and Robach and with Assemblyman Hawley throughout the day in support of music education in New York State public schools. This annual event kicks off Music in Our Schools Month, which celebrates and highlights the importance of music education in our students’ lives and our communities.

Claire is the daughter of Dolores and Tony Gratto of Hamlin. She is President of the Brockport High School Choir, sings with MadVocals and Bella Voci, and is enrolled in the 3-1-3 program at SUNY Brockport.
