Hilton Board of Education adopts 2021-22 tax levy

The Hilton Board of Education adopted the tax levy for residents of the Hilton School District at their August 10 meeting. The actual rates came in $0.46 lower for Clarkson, $0.44 lower for Greece, $0.91 higher for Hamlin, and $0.04 higher for Parma. Hamlin’s and Parma’s tax rates are higher than expected due to a decrease in equalization rates. Hamlin’s decreased from 91 percent to 86 percent and Parma’s from 93 percent to 91 percent. Both Clarkson and Greece’s equalization rates stayed the same at 95 percent and 100 percent respectively. The local tax levy is $41,667,602.
