Celebrate homecoming with BCSD

Community members are invited to join Brockport Central School District for its annual homecoming celebrations during the week of September 19. Each school will participate in a variety of events leading up to homecoming, including pep rallies and themed days throughout the week.

On Wednesday, September 21, the District will host its traditional Girls of the Gridiron at 6 p.m. at the Dahn Walrath Stadium. Admission is $3 per person or three canned food items to benefit the new school food pantry and the BHS Student Council.

Celebrations will continue on Friday, September 23, with food trucks set up in the Brockport High School’s front loop from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The homecoming parade begins at 5:15 p.m., where it will make its way from Oliver Middle School to the Stadium. Each high school class will decorate a float according to this year’s Disney theme. A multitude of bands, clubs, sports teams, alumni, and other community groups will also march in the parade. If you would like to enter a float or become a parade sponsor, fill out a form posted on the District website at http://www.bcs1.org .

The homecoming festivities will conclude with the varsity football game against Greece Athena, which kicks off at 7 p.m. in the Dahn Walrath Stadium. Admission is $1 for students and $2 for adults. Middle school students, or younger, must have parental supervision for the entire event.

Parking for the homecoming events will be available throughout the village and on the District campus. Plan to arrive and park early, as the main campus road will close at approximately 5 p.m. and will reopen following the parade. Attendees are encouraged to wear blue and white to show school pride.
