Assistant Principal selected for Ginther Elementary School

After a thorough process with a strong candidate pool, Instructional Coach Kelly Keenan was offered and has accepted the Assistant Principal position at Ginther Elementary School. This summer, Mrs. Keenan will serve as the principal for Brockport’s K-6 Math and Literacy Program. Her official appointment as Assistant Principal for Ginther will begin after the completion of summer school, on August 12.

Mrs. Keenan joined Brockport Central School District in September of 2001 as a special education teacher. In 2014, she became an instructional coach at Ginther Elementary. Mrs. Keenan has held a wide variety of leadership roles in the district including leading our English Language Learners summer school program in 2021, department chair, mentor co-chair, and she also assists with leading the work on the digital readiness committee.

“Kelly has been an asset to our Brockport team for over 20 years, and I am pleased to welcome her as Ginther’s Assistant Principal,” said Superintendent Sean Bruno. “Her dedication and commitment to our students, staff and families is evident each day, and I look forward to her contributions in this new role.”

Mrs. Keenan will join recently appointed Ginther Principal Randall Yu when she begins the role in August.
