New Assistant Principal at Brockport’s Oliver Middle School

Brockport Central School District has hired Matthew Hennard as the next Assistant Principal at Oliver Middle School. The appointment was approved by the Board of Education during the Board meeting on Tuesday, August 30, and became effective September 6.

Mr. Hennard has spent the last year as an Assistant Principal at Wheatland-Chili Middle/High School. Prior to that, he served as the Middle School Coordinator where he created and led the SEL committee, oversaw the master schedule, oversaw student discipline, as well as many other tasks. Matt began his career in education as a Special Education teacher at Holley CSD in their Alternative High School, and then transitioned into Social Studies.

Mr. Hennard and his family are Brockport residents, with children attending Barclay Elementary and Hill School.

“We are excited to welcome Matt to our team in Brockport,” said Superintendent Sean Bruno. “His familiarity with our community and his proven ability as a school leader will help contribute to a successful transition into his new role at Oliver Middle School.”
