Roberts Wesleyan holding open house to showcase adult and graduate programs

Roberts Wesleyan University will host an in-person adult and graduate open house at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, to highlight its adult and graduate degree offerings, including certificate and doctoral programs. Adult and graduate students currently account for more than half of the university’s recent student population and enrollment growth, with Roberts introducing new and streamlined degree opportunities over the past several years to help students balance academic pursuits with personal and professional commitments.

At the open house, prospective students will learn about program details in relevant areas of interest and have an opportunity to directly connect and network with faculty and staff who blend theory with applied practice to equip students with the latest skills and knowledge to make an immediate impact in the communities and employers they will serve. In addition to faculty, university alumni across a wide variety of industries will be on hand to answer questions and share firsthand insight about the graduate student experience, including perspectives on applying a Roberts education to professional pursuits.

“At Roberts, our goal is to help students find the best program to meet their educational and career goals,” said Andrew Gilbert, executive director of adult and graduate enrollment. “Going back to school to pursue an associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree may seem daunting, but we’ve found that one of the best ways to be inspired is to attend the on-campus open house event, which serves as an information resource center, discussion forum and opportunity to explore what Roberts has to offer to support your goals.”

Intentionally designed for working professionals, many of the university’s adult and graduate degrees are offered in condensed eight-week terms and presented in the evenings or through online formats for greater flexibility and feasibility. The university recently launched two new adult and graduate degree offerings to help address those needs, an online associate in Biblical studies and a bachelor’s in business marketing that can be completed in approximately one year either online or hybrid.

In a report released last year from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, more than 39 million Americans have attended college but earned no degree or other credential. “For students who have started a degree but have not completed it, we hope that for some, Roberts will be the place where they can complete it,” Gilbert said.

Registration for the open house is required in advance and available online at https://go.roberts.edu/age-open-house-jun-2023. For more information about Roberts Wesleyan University, including its catalogue of adult and graduate program offerings, visit http://roberts.edu.
