Holley Board of Education Member Robin Silvis steps down after 16 years of service

A candidate search to fill the vacant seat on the Holley BOE is underway.

Holley Central School District Board of Education Member and President Robin Silvis has resigned from her position after 16 years of service. This decision was made in tandem with Silvis’ plans to move out of the district. Her resignation became official at the Holley BOE meeting on Monday, September 18.

Silvis was elected as board president in 2019 after serving as vice president for 10 years. The Board would like to acknowledge the many years of service, commitment, and leadership that she brought to the district.

“The Holley Central School District appreciates the many contributions and dedication that Robin Silvis has provided during her time serving on the board,” said Brian Bartalo, Holley Central School District Superintendent. “Robin was committed to wanting to do what’s best for students and to have Holley be a great place to learn and work.”

Silvis’ departure leaves an open seat on the Holley Board of Education. The Board has decided to fill this vacancy by appointment.
