CCCSD’s Jeffrey Smith Taking New Role as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

The Churchville-Chili Central School District appointed Jeffrey Smith as its new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources during the April 14 Board of Education meeting. Mr. Smith most recently served as the Director of Fine Arts in the Churchville-Chili Central School District, where he has been leading programs since 2014.

Mr. Smith earned his New York State Professional Certification as a School District Leader from SUNY Brockport and his Certificate of Labor Relations from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. This is his twenty-fourth year in the field of education and his fourteenth year in an administrative position. Before his time in Churchville-Chili, Mr. Smith was a Music Teacher and Administrative T.O.S.A. at Wheatland-Chili Middle-High School.

“I am incredibly grateful to continue serving the Churchville-Chili CSD and school community in this new capacity,” says Mr. Smith. “It has been a privilege to lead the Fine Arts Department for the last 12 years, and I’m excited for this new challenge and the opportunity to make a broader organizational impact.”

“Jeffrey Smith brings a deep understanding of the Churchville‐Chili Central School District, along with extensive experience and a genuine commitment to our work,” says Superintendent Carmine Peluso. “Having served our District since 2014 as Director of Fine Arts and spending more than two decades in education, Jeff has built strong relationships and a thoughtful understanding of our schools. His knowledge of our District’s history, people, and programs will help ensure continuity as we continue supporting one another and serving our students and community.”

Mr. Smith lives in West Henrietta with his family and will begin in this new role on July 1, 2026.
