Spencerport CSD to Name Concession Stand in Honor of Chuck “Butch” Pennica

The Spencerport Central School District Board of Education has approved the naming of the indoor concession stand at Spencerport High School as the Chuck “Butch” Pennica Concession Stand, recognizing more than three decades of dedicated service to the Spencerport Athletic community.

For over 30 years, Chuck “Butch” Pennica has been a familiar and welcoming presence at Ranger athletic events. A devoted member of the Spencerport Booster Club since 1993 and Director of Concessions for 26 years, Chuck’s selfless volunteerism and unwavering commitment have positively impacted generations of student-athletes, families, and fans.

Chuck played a key role in the creation of the indoor concession stand and spent countless evenings behind the counter, serving basketball and wrestling spectators. Fondly known by students as “the man with the white mustache,” he has become a beloved fixture of Spencerport Athletics.

Through his dedication, generosity, and pride in supporting Ranger Athletics, Chuck helped create an atmosphere of warmth, tradition, and community that continues to define the Spencerport athletic experience.

The Board of Education is proud to honor Chuck’s extraordinary contributions by naming the facility the Chuck “Butch” Pennica Concession Stand, ensuring his legacy will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.

A dedication ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Spencerport High School indoor concession stand. Family, friends, Booster Club members, students, and members of the Spencerport community are invited to join in celebrating Chuck’s lasting contributions to Ranger Athletics.
