Hilton’s “Kickin’ It for Chris” soccer event raises funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

The Hilton boys soccer team devoted its senior night to raising funds for an organization near and dear to their hearts – the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Teammate Chris Solveson has been battling stage four Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has bounced back to play soccer.

The team honored its seniors on October 11 when they faced off against the Spencerport Rangers at LeBeau Field. It was a fitting time to honor Chris, a senior, by rallying the crowd to donate to this worthy cause in Chris’s name. So far, the team has raised nearly $1,000.

Donations are still being accepted and can be sent to Coach Ken Krause, Hilton High School, 400 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468. Checks can be made out to Hilton Boys Soccer with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the memo.
