Utter, Rada, Weaver lead Bees in swimming

Seniors Cory Utter, Jake Rada and Danny Weaver each won two individual events and were part of two winning relay teams to lead Byron-Bergen/Leroy to a 78.5-64.5 boy’s swimming victory over Akron.
Utter won the 200-individual medley in 3:01.22 and the 100-breaststroke in 1:24.09. Rada took the 200-freestyle in 2:01.32 and the 100-freestyle in :55.29 while Weaver finished first in the 100-backstroke in 1:20.62 and won the diving with 127.72 points.
The three, with sophomore Jordan Gardner won the meet-opening 200 medley relay in 2:08.43 and the 200-freestyle relay in 1:46.72.
The win marked the Bees third of the season with four of their final six meets at home when the schedule resumes in the New Year.
