Brockport High School seniors sign letters of intent

Brockport High School seniors Autumn Albrecht, Julia Dimartino and Taylor Light signed letters of intent to compete for several prestigious universities’ athletic teams earlier this school year.

Albrecht is attending the University of Vermont on an athletic scholarship for cross-country, indoor track and outdoor track, and plans to major in pediatric medicine. She is an 11-time Brockport team MVP, and at the completion of this spring’s track-and-field season, she will have 14 varsity letters. She currently holds 13 (eight individual and five relays) school track-and-field records. Her achievements include 2014 Outdoor T&F Section V Class A Champion – 800 m and 2014 Outdoor T&F Monroe  County Champion – 3000m. She competed at Cross Country State Championships 2011, 2013, 2014 and at Indoor T&F State Championships 2012, 2013, 2014 and medaled as member of Intersectional Medley Relay in 2013.

Dimartino plans to attend Liberty University in Virginia and play for the Liberty Flames. Her stats in softball for the 2012-2014 seasons include a 0.448 batting average, with 105 hits, 66 runs scored, 6 home runs and 75 runs batted in. She holds a 54-9 record. Her achievements include: AGR 2012, 2013, 204; AGR Co-POY 2013, 2014; MC D3 POY 2012, 2013, 2014 and First Team All-State 2013, 2014.

Light will study at The University at Buffalo and compete for their softball team. Her stats for the 2012-2014 seasons include a 0.378 batting average, with 52 hits, 35 runs scored, 4 home runs and 42 runs batted in. She holds a 7-0 record. Her achievements include: First Team AC 2013; Sectional All-Tournament Team 2013; Second Team AC 2014.
