Competitive field for Apple Derby
The 36th annual Merkel/Steve Strong Apple Derby 5 mile race was held on Saturday, October 3. The wind was steady for the entire race for the 66 runners who completed the traditional course which has the start/finish line at Hilton High School.
The Overall Champion of the race, Jason McElwain, completed with a time of 29:45. The Overall Female winner was Amy Konopka whose time was 32:22. She qualified as third overall.
The Masters Male Champion was Matt Kellman who had a time of 29:59; second overall. The Masters Female Champion was Betsey Reigle with a finishing time of 38:55; 21st overall.

30-39 – Trevor Smith 35:18, Mark D’Amico 36:45.
