The Redhawks were slotted to face seven-seed Bethesda (Ca.) in the quarterfinals – a team that reached the national title game one year ago before losing. The winner advances to the semi-finals against the victor of the No. 3 Emmanuel (Ga.)/No. 6 Northwestern (Minn.) quarterfinal.

The Redhawks last participated in the tournament in 2013-14 when they fell 72-70 to last year’s champion Lee in the semifinals.

All games are held at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana.

Redhawks senior forward Samantha Courtney was named All-East Coast Defensive Player of the Year and ECC All-Conference First Team as well as to the 2015-16 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women’s Basketball All-East Region Second Team after she averaged a double-double this past season.

On the year, Courtney is averaging 16.1 points and 11.2 rebounds per game while having blocked 85 shots through 33 games. Earlier in the season she scored her 1,000th career point, becoming the 13th player in program history to reach the milestone.
