Brockport Girls’ Varsity Swim team wins against Batavia
The Brockport Girls’ Varsity Swim team traveled to Genesee Community College on September 26 to swim against Batavia High School. The Brockport girls won their meet by a 99-68 margin. The win raised their record to four wins and two losses this season.
The team was scheduled to meet at Eastridge High School on September 28. The next two meets will be at Brockport High School starting at 4:30 p.m. on October 3 against Honoeye Falls Lima and October 10 against Mercy High School.
Other away meets will be against Canandaigua on October 5 starting at 5:30 p.m. and against Hilton on October 19 at 4:30 p.m.
The Brockport Girls’ Varsity Swim team will also participate in the Cancer Relays, which will take place at Spencerport High School on October 14 at 3 p.m.. This relay meet will include girls’ swim teams from many other area high schools.
Some of the top finishes for the meet against Batavia were as follows: 200 yard Medley Relay (2nd) – Eliz Sagan, Molly Rich, Pearl Salonen-Roperti, Brittney Ellsworth 2:15.73; 200 yard Free – Caroline Martin 2:07.96; 200 IM – KhaVy Sangasy 2:17.59; 50 yard Free – Eliz Sagan 27.54; Diving: Abby Connelly – 144.60 points; 100 yard Butterfly (2nd) – Laine Ramsay 1:11.59; 100 yard Free – Eliz Sagan 1:02.62; 500 yard Free (2nd) – Livia Stepanek 6:24.03; 200 yard Free Relay – Eliz Sagan, Amanda Giardina, Molly Rich, Liliya Grego 2:00.01; 100 yard Back – KhaVy Sangasy 1:05.88; 100 yard Breast (2nd) – Molly Rich 1:17.96.
