Martin, Ramsey pace Blue Devils swimmers
Caroline Martin and Laine Ramsey each had two individual first place finishes and were part of a winning relay team to lead Brockport to a 96-88 victory over Churchville-Chili in girls’ swimming.
Martin won the 200-freestyle in 2:07.09 and took the 100-butterfly in 1:08.13 while Ramsey was first in the 200-individual medley in 2:29.24 and the 100-backstroke in 1.05.78.
Martin, with Marlayna DiFante, Pearl Salonen-Roperti and Elizabeth Sagan touched first in the 200-freestyle relay in 1:52.78.
Ramsey teamed with Molly Rich, Livia Stepanek and Sagan in opening the meet with a win in the 200-medley relay in 2:06.50.
Sagan won the 50-freestyle in :27.30, DiFante the 100-freestyle in 1:00.58, Salonen-Roperti the 500-freestyle in 5:46.72 and Rich took the 100-backstroke in 1:18.01.
For Churchville-Chili, Sarah DiGaetano and Jillian Sauer finished one-two in diving with the former earning 211.40 points.
The Saints 400-freestyle relay team of Emily Brockman, Nina Palmer, Kaitlyn O’Mealia and Charlotte Bromage finished the meet winning in 4:31.93.
