Vote Maureen March 15

Letter to the Editor of the Suburban News

On March 15, registered voters in the village of Hilton will have the opportunity to elect two trustees and their mayor. Elections are independent and not based on any established political party.

The two current incumbent trustees are not being challenged; however, the mayor’s position is. My vote is going to Maureen Spindler who chose to run with the party name, Freedom and Family. This speaks volumes in today’s world.

Maureen would bring to the Village Board a new and fresh approach to our local government. She knows Hilton well having resided on Lake Avenue with her husband, Paul, for over 40 years. Many residents know her as The Village Photographer as well as a volunteer on the Parma Library Board and Apple Fest Committee.

Maureen is honest, sincere, and caring. One of her best skills is communication. As an example, she intends to bring back the Hilton Village Newsletter with our late friend’s—Herb McNaughton—slogan, “Communication Breeds Understanding.”

I ask you to elect Maureen Spindler for Mayor.

Respectfully submitted,

Larry Gursslin
Hilton Mayor
1982-1998 and 2006-2010
