RRH hospitals ranked by U.S. News & World Report

Rochester Regional Health has received its 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings, solidifying its position as a leader in healthcare excellence.

ochester General Hospital has once again been named one of the best regional hospitals in New York, placing 13th in the state. For the first time, Unity Hospital also earned a regional ranking, coming in at 24th in the state—a major milestone in its ongoing growth and commitment to clinical excellence and quality care.

“These rankings represent monumental work by our teams—especially given the complex and ever-changing challenges facing healthcare today,” said Richard “Chip” Davis, PhD, Rochester Regional Health CEO. “To receive this level of recognition across so many hospitals and specialties is a testament to the skill, resilience, and unwavering commitment of our people. Adding to this honor, three Rochester Regional Health hospitals were recognized as High Performing in a variety of specialties and procedures—acknowledging excellence in both routine and complex care:
•Rochester General Hospital was rated High Performing in 21 areas: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, back surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, gynecological cancer surgery, heart arrhythmia, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, lung cancer surgery, maternity care, pacemaker implantation, pneumonia, prostate cancer surgery, stroke, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
•Unity Hospital received High Performing designations in nine areas: back surgery, COPD, colon cancer surgery, diabetes, hip fracture, hip replacement, knee replacement, pacemaker implantation, and pneumonia.
•Canton-Potsdam Hospital was recognized as High Performing for its treatment of COPD.
