Spirits of Spencerport Ghost Walk 2026: October 16 & 17

The Ogden Historical Society will host its 11th annual Spirits of Spencerport Ghost Walk fundraiser on October 16 and 17. Enjoy an eerie stroll through the village of Spencerport as local actors spin tales of history or mystery that may or may not be true.

This year’s stories include a cold-case murder solved by a Spencerport boy in Maine and a ghost frozen in time. A Guest Ghost will tell the story of a local doctor who pushed the boundaries for women to receive higher education and taught classes on a hush–hush topic to teens and their parents. Studio 19 dancers will give a spirited performance, and Russ Young will join with his ghostly entourage.

The Ghost Walk begins at the Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum, 16 East Avenue, Spencerport, with groups departing every 15 minutes between 6:45 and 8 p.m. The event is held rain or shine, and attendees will be either walking or standing for about one hour. Please note that the Ghost Walk is not appropriate for children under 16 or pets (except for verified service animals).

Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased online at ogdenhistoricalsociety.org. There are a limited number of tickets available per time slot. If any space remains, tickets can be purchased at the museum the night of the event.

The Ogden Historical Society uses funds raised during the Ghost Walk to restore artifacts and buy paraphernalia to preserve its collection.
