Town of Sweden Supervisor Kevin Johnson hosted a forum on June 19 for local builders and developers to discuss obstacles they face while pursuing projects in the Town of Sweden. While most of the conversation centered around mandates and constraints set by New York State, there were some ideas for changes at the local level.
Deputy Supervisor Bob Muesebeck and members of the Town’s Planning Board and Building Department also attended the meeting. They are going to come up with some recommendations for the Town Board to consider based on comments made by the builders and developers. Supervisor Johnson plans to reconvene the builders/developers group for an update in the fall. “We are committed to responsible, good development in the Town of Sweden,” he said.
