Gates – Sunday, August 19, 2018, at age 95. Born in Livonia, NY, where he was raised by his grandparents. Art was a WWII Army Veteran. A gifted and skilled woodcarver, focused on fish and birds.
Survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Florence; children, Linda (Steve) Stewart, Jim (Kathy) and Randy (Carroll Grant); grandchildren, Scott, Heather, Michelle, Doug, Betsey, Ryan, Sarah, Jillian and Carrellyn; 9 great-grandchildren; and many loving relatives.

Private Service will be held at the Rochester Presbyterian Home at a later date. Interment Garland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd., Rochester, NY 14619.
