GPAS presents “The Addams Family”
The Greece Performing Arts Society (GPAS) moves forward with the newly reopened Greece Theatre Company and the production of “The Addams Family.” The production will be held at the 700-seat Lyric Theatre Main Stage, located at 440 East Avenue in downtown Rochester from October 26 through November 4.
Featuring the original characters from the television series and cartoons, the story follows every father’s worst nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met.
GPAS President, Eric Vaughn Johnson, reveals that this year’s production is intended for the whole family. “While last year’s production of ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ was a darker show aimed for adults, ‘The Addams Family’ is a show you’ll want to bring the young ones to,” Johnson boasted this GPAS production has three professionals bringing multiple talents to the stage.
“The Addams Family” performance dates are Friday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, October 28 at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. (ASL Interpreted Performance), Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online at GreecePerformingArts.org and at all area Wegmans.
