Chili Town Councilman Michael Slattery (shown at left with Gates Police Chief James VanBrederode) shared some photos from his four-day journey cycling from Buffalo to Albany as part of The Ride for Missing & Exploited Children. On the first day of the journey, May 23, riders stopped at Chili’s Davis Park for a memorial tribute to Brittanee Drexel, who went missing in 2009 (top photos). Of the ride, Slattery said, “Oh what an experience; so many stories and great people along the way. Five miles from Albany and the closing ceremony we get four flat tires in the wind, rain, and rush hour traffic.
