Brockport Lions construct wheelchair ramp
Betty Sietmann was having an increasingly difficult time getting in and out of her home at the County Line Trailer Park. She contacted Brockport Lion and former District Governor Greg Lund who visited Betty and assessed the situation.
Always looking for opportunities to help those in need, the Brockport Lions Club gladly took on the task. A team led by Lion Walt Windus obtained lumber and materials, designed, built, and installed a wheelchair ramp for Betty.
The Lions met several evenings to build the sections of the ramp in Brockport and then transported the ramp for the final installation which occurred on Sunday, September 29.
The picture shows just some of the Lions who were involved in the project including Lions Brian Ingraham, Phillip Moore, Dave Moore, Betty Sietmann, Lions Tammy Deacon, Keith Marshall, and Charlie Deacon.
