The second annual Village of Churchville Luminaria Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, August 3 following the conclusion of the summer concert at the village gazebo that evening.
Sponsored by the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, the luminaria represent an emotional and moving remembrance of loved ones who have battled cancer. Luminaria bags may be purchased to honor or memorialize those loved ones at $5 per bag. Members of the Churchville-Chili LEO Club will decorate the bags either in honor of or in memory of with the names applicable. To order a bag, visit Village and Town of Riga offices, the library, and local banks and businesses. At the conclusion of the ceremony, those wishing may take the decorated bags home with them.
