CCCSD Announces New Staff Appointments

Director of Fine Arts & Acting Director of Curriculum
Two new staff members were appointed during the Churchville-Chili Central School District Board of Education meeting on May 26. Danielle Rodgers was selected as the new Director of Fine Arts, and Rebecca Tibbits as the new Acting Director of Curriculum, Assessments, and Professional Development.
Danielle Rodgers, who is currently an Assistant Principal in the Cheektowaga-Solan Union Free School District, brings more than 20 years of educational experience to the Churchville-Chili Central School District. She has taught music at the middle school and high school levels, served as vice president and president-elect of the Genesee-Wyoming Music Educators Association, conducted various choral ensembles, and served as an adjudicator for the New York State School Music Association.
She received her Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Canisius College, her Master of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College, and her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Crane School of Music.
“We are excited to welcome Danielle Rodgers as our Director of Fine Arts,” says Superintendent Peluso. “Throughout the interview process, it was clear that her strong background in music education and leadership, along with her passion for the arts, will enrich opportunities for our students and strengthen our overall program.”
“I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Churchville-Chili Central School District as the new Director of Fine Arts,” says Rodgers. “I look forward to collaborating with our talented educators, staff, students, and community partners to provide an exceptional arts education for all students.”
She will begin in her role on July 1, 2026.
Rebecca Tibbits, who is currently the district’s Middle School Executive Principal, will join current Director of Curriculum, Assessments, and Professional Development, John Gonzalez, Jr., in this new role of Acting Director.
Tibbits received her Master of Science in Inclusion from Nazareth College and her Bachelor of Arts in English from SUNY Geneseo. She also earned her School Building and District Leadership Certification from Canisius College and completed the New York State Superintendent Development Program this past fall.
She began her career as an English teacher in the Rochester City School District in 2003. Before joining the team in Churchville-Chili in 2022, she was an Assistant Principal in the Brockport Central School District. Rebecca brings extensive experience as an educational leader, with a strong focus on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), data-driven instructional practices, and leading continuous improvement efforts.

“We would like to thank Becca Tibbitts for her leadership and dedication as Middle School Principal over the past four years,” says Superintendent Peluso. “We are excited to see her expand her impact in this new role, where she will help advance initiatives and systems that support the Office of Instruction and teaching and learning across the district.”
“I am thrilled to take on this district-wide role, to support learning at all levels – teacher and staff learning and student learning, which is a passion of mine,” says Tibbits. “Continuous learning and growth will allow us all to better support one another, our students, and the school community.”
Tibbits will begin in the Office of Instruction on August 3, 2026.
