Churchville Halloween Parade Returns to the Streets

The annual Churchville Halloween Parade was a howling success, with a large crowd of Halloween tricksters gathering for an unforgettable night. Hundreds of local children, parents, and community members showed up in creative and spooky costumes, turning the village streets into a lively display of ghosts, superheroes, and fairy-tale characters. Churchville Volunteer Fire Police 4C-12 and Fire Department Rescue 428 led the procession.

The day began at the Nancy L. Steedman Gazebo on the village campus with volunteers hanging ghouls from the rafters, stringing lights all around, and placing headstones in the gardens. The parade stepped off at 6 p.m. and made its way to the gazebo, where the kids showed off their costumes for an extra prize of a treat bag of candy, miniature pumpkins, and toys. Co-workers from UCC Church provided non-sugar options.

Special thanks go to the Lions Club, who helped with decorations and candy distributions; Dave Childs from Riga Recreation for organization and treats; and the Churchville Fire Department for the Rescue Truck and traffic control.
