American Legion Baseball Championship Tournaments
Greece Post 468 will host NY American Legion Baseball Championship Tournaments from July 25 to August 3 at Penfield High School, 25 High School Drive, Penfield. The Senior tournament will take place on July 25–29, with July 30 reserved as a rain date. That will be followed by the Junior Tournament from July 31through August 2, with August 3 as an alternate date. Tickets are $10 for a single day, $15 for the Senior Tournament Championship Day, $35 for the entire Senior Tournament, $25 for the entire Junior Tournament, and $45 for both tournaments, and are available through Eventbrite (https://tinyurl.com/rmb22hs5). Gates Recreation & Parks Summer Concert Series
Concerts are held on the second and fourth Sundays of July and August from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the back parking lot of the Gates Town Hall, 1605 Buffalo Road. Your American Jukebox will take the stage on July 26. Bill Tiberio Band, a mainstay of the Rochester music scene, will perform on August 9. Blue Sky will close out the series on August 23. All concerts are free. Bring your blanket or lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be held inside the Town Hall. Snacks and cold beverages will be available for purchase.
Wegmans Concerts by the Shore
Concerts by the Shore offers free musical entertainment on Wednesday evenings during the summer, starting at 7 p.m. at Ontario Beach Park, Rochester. Admission is free. Upcoming performers include Ignite Reggae (July 29), Indigo Breeze (August 5), The Dukes (August 12), Allegro (August 19), and The Uptown Groove (August 26). Cars Against Cancer
The Edelman-Gardner Cancer Research Foundation is holding its 2nd Annual Cars Against Cancer car show on Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mall at Greece Ridge (parking lot near Target). Cars, trucks, and bikes are welcome. The show is participant-judged, with winners taking home a trophy. There is a $20 entry fee before the event and $25 day of. An Evening with The Jersey Tenors
The Italian American Community Center (IACC), 150 Frank DiMino Way, Rochester, invites the community for an evening of music, culture, and community spirit on Saturday, August 1. The fundraising event features The Jersey Tenors in a lively tribute blending classic opera, Italian favorites, and popular hits. Enjoy an intimate performance that celebrates the rich musical traditions at the heart of the Italian American community. General admission tickets are $40 and include balcony seating for the 8 p.m. concert. Gates Farmers Market
The 2026 Gates Farmers Market is held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Sundays of the month through October 4 in front of the Gates Public Library, 902 Elmgrove Road. Each day includes a different theme and features a variety of vendors, food trucks, and crafts. Stop by for the “Dog Days” of Summer Market on August 2 and Back to School Market on August 16. I Dig This Town
Kids can look at, get into, and take pictures with their favorite big vehicles at I Dig This Town on August 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greece Town Hall Campus, 1 Vince Tofany Boulevard. There will also be an inflatable corn maze. This event is free and open to all ages. Food will be available for purchase.

BrewFest for Vets
The 11th Anniversary Tony Angotti Memorial BrewFest for Vets fundraiser will be held on Friday, August 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. at St. Pius X Parish Center, 3010 Chili Avenue, Rochester. Tickets are $50 Early Bird (through August 7) or $60 at the door and include tastings of beer, cider, wines, and spirits. Enjoy food, music, raffles, and live auctions. Warrior Benefit Concert
Greece Post 468 presents the 15th Annual Warrior Benefit Concert, Celebrating 250 Years of Military Service, on Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Post, 344 Dorsey Road. Spend the day supporting those who support our military and veterans. It is a full day of musical entertainment, food, fun, laughs, gift baskets, raffles, and special Guests of Honor. Performers include Rodger Chenelly, Rock Jester, The Kid Kurry Band, Songbirds (Tribute to Fleetwood Mac), Karen McNeil, Joey Allen with Southbound 35, Roc City Rebels, and Paul Stowe. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 the day of the event. All veterans will be admitted at no charge with proper proof of service. Brockport Arts Festival
Head out to Brockport on August 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day for the 30th annual Brockport Arts Festival, presented by BISCO. Shop for a wonderful variety of art and crafts along Main Street and beautiful side streets. In the food court, find food to satisfy every craving and budget. Two stages, and maybe a third, will provide entertainment all weekend. There will also be a Car Show (pre-register at Eventbrite), Wine Garden, Kids’ Zone, and Farmers Market. Movies in the Park
Bring some popcorn and a blanket for Monroe County’s Movies in the Park series of free family-friendly film screenings that runs through August. All movies begin at dusk, or approximately half an hour after sunset. The schedule includes Frozen on Friday, August 14, at Highland Park; Miracle on Thursday, August 20, at ESL Ballpark (gates open at 7 p.m.); and Cars on Friday, August 28, at Seneca Park Zoo. Kids Fest & Outdoor Movie Night
Gates Recreation presents a free Kids Fest & Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday, August 15, at First Responders Park, 431 Lyell Road. From 6 to 8 p.m., enjoy themed activities including kite flying, a tie-dye station, a scavenger hunt, and wiffle ball. That will be followed from 8 to 10 p.m. by a showing of The Peanuts Movie. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Journey Home Fundraiser
Visit Bruster’s Ice Cream, 824 Long Pond Road, on Sunday, August 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. to support Journey Home. 20% of all profits during that time will go to the hospice home that provides guidance, support, and comfort to individuals and their families as they journey through the dying process. Tell your friends and neighbors and bring the whole family for an ice cream treat.
Gates Historical Society Meeting
The Gates Historical Society meets at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month (March–November) at the Gates Town Hall Annex. The meetings are free, accessible, and open to the public. Job Fair
Looking for your next opportunity? Mark your calendar for August 18 as the Town of Greece is teaming up with RochesterWorks and the Greece Chamber of Commerce to connect job seekers with local employers who are hiring now. The event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Greece Town Hall Pavilion. Employers who would like to have a table at the event can email info@greeceny.gov with “Job Fair Tabling” in the subject line.
Greece Summer Movie
Greece Parks and Recreation hosts a free screening of the animated film GOAT (rated PG) on Friday, August 21, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. (movie starts at approximately 8:15 p.m.), at the Greece Town Hall Pavilion. Popcorn will be provided. Feel free to bring a chair and blanket for your viewing comfort. Pre-registration is not required.
Taste of the Town
Presented by the Town of Greece and the Greece Regional Chamber, Taste of the Town is a free community event celebrating local food, businesses, and community connection.
