Panthers take a proactive step in fire safety education

Fire education took center stage at Paul Road Elementary School as young learners embarked on a journey of knowledge and preparedness.

To empower students with essential life skills, the school hosted a comprehensive fire safety program, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to stay safe in the face of potential emergencies.

With the help of school staff and local fire experts from the Gates Fire District, students learned about the fundamentals of fire safety. The program, which is available in all Gates Chili elementary schools, focused on the importance of prevention, preparedness and quick thinking in fire-related situations. Interactive sessions gave students the opportunity to learn about the importance of fire alarms, how to safely use fire extinguishers and the critical stop-drop-and-roll technique.

Students completed the program feeling empowered, with an increased sense of responsibility and awareness of fire safety in their daily lives.
