Essay winners 

Alan Way, director of the Monroe County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, and John Rombaut, president of the Brockport Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Inc. and past chief presented Outstanding Essay Awards to students for participation in the annual MCVFA Fire Prevention Essay Contest.

This year there were forty (40) schools that participated with over a thousand essays. The subject this year was “Have Two Ways Out” which goes along with the EDITH Program.

This contest is put on each October by the MCVFA and is distributed to all schools protected by volunteer fire departments in Monroe County that wish to take part.
