The Gates Chili Chamber of Commerce, celebrating 50 years as a chamber, is pleased to announce its 2017 Annual Community Award winners honoring individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact on the quality of life in the Gates and Chili communities.
This year’s winners are: Beautification Award (Chili), Stonehedge Beef Farm; Beautification Award (Gates) (tie), Jim’s Ground and Flower City Landscape; Joseph Entress Memorial Award, Josh Yashar – Tyrad Group (Rochester Tech Park); Innovative Business Award, Jenn’s Cookie Creations; Culture and Arts Award, Chili Public Library; Outstanding Citizen (Gates), Frank Allkofer; Outstanding Citizen (Chili), Jim Lechner; Distinguished Youth Award, Jakob Wisemore; Young Professional Award, Sam Camarata; Dream Big Award, Story of Hope; Special Recognition Award, Gates Chili School District, Celebrating 60 years; Special Recognition Award, Ron DiChario, (in memorium) Scottsville Road Businessman’s Association.
The Awards Gala Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 11 at the Italian American Community Center. Talk show and columnist Bob Lonsberry will emcee the event.
