The Sweden/Clarkson Community Center gymnasium will be closed for floor refinishing on Tuesday, August 27 and will reopen on Wednesday, September 4. The rest of the building remains open for regular programming during this week. The gymnasium floor is refinished every two years and is scheduled after summer camp ends and prior to basketball season beginning.
In addition, four of the gym’s basketball backboards will replaced following the floor project. The backboard installation will take place around programming as much as possible to reduce disruptions.
