SGNY welcomes The Foresters
Southern Gospel NY is bringing The Foresters, a family band from Michigan in full-time Gospel music ministry, to perform in Spencerport for the first time. The concert will be held at Spencerport Bible Church, 1948 North Union Street, on Saturday, August 21, at 4 p.m.
Mark and Andrea Forester started their ministry in June of 2000, the day after their honeymoon ended. That first weekend they sang in two churches and have been busy on the road ever since. They travel all across the United States and Canada, holding more than 200 meetings each year, and have also held three tours in Europe. Sons Tyler, 16, and Trevor, 12, now play a vital role in the music and ministry alongside their parents. The Foresters sing southern and traditional Gospel music, play a large variety of instruments, and write much of the material they sing. They have released 39 recordings over the past 20 years, their latest called “Living in the After.”
A donation of $12.50 for adults 21 and over, $5 for ages six to 20, will be collected at the door to help The Foresters with their ministry and travel expenses. Children five and under are admitted free of charge. For information, call Joyce at 329-3840.
