UPCOMING PAVING WORK ALONG STATE ROUTE 531
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of daytime single lane closures along State Route 531, including on/off ramps, between State Route 259 in the Town of Ogden and the Route 531/Interstate 490 interchange in the Town of Gates, Monroe County, to accommodate a pavement rehabilitation project beginning, Monday, August 29. The work is anticipated to last through September.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
