Richard A. Henderson

North Chili: Passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016, age 86. Son of Arthur and Christina Henderson. Predeceased by daughter, Karen McCarthy; son, Richard Henderson; brother, John B. Henderson; sister-in-law, Edna Robinson. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Fran; son, Chuck (Kim); granddaughters, Kelly (Tim) Scott and Amy Hagler (Curt); grandsons, C.J. Henderson (Brandi) and Michael R. Henderson; great-granddaughter, Ellie Karen Henderson; step-grandson, Joe Vickery; step-granddaughter, Heather Clemmons; sister, Heather Rusaw; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Henderson; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Dick was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a 50 year member of Gates Presbyterian Church having served as an Elder and Trustee, member of Oatka Masonic Lodge #759, Past Potentate of Damascus Shrine, past Commander of Damascus Legion of Honor, Past Director Royal Order of Jesters, Board member Emiritus of the Shrine Erie, PA Children’s Hospital, Past Commander of American Legion Post Dold Doty McGill Post #771, a former Drum Major of the Damascus Shrine Pipe Band.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Unity Cottage #400 and Lifetime Care for their loving care.

Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, 2771 Chili Avenue, Tuesday 4-7. Memorial Service, Wednesday 2 PM at the Gates Presbyterian Church, 1049 Wegman Road. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gates Presbyterian Church, 1049 Wegman Road, Rochester 14624 or Hope Hall, 1612 Buffalo Road, Rochester 14624.
