BROCKPORT: Toepper, James M., died on March 13, 2026, at age 76. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Thelma Toepper; brother, John Toepper Jr.; and sister, Janice (Toepper) White. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Toepper, and nieces and nephews. He retired from Finger Lakes OPWDD in 2011 after 41 years of service to New York State. Jim enjoyed gardening, traveling abroad, equestrian riding, show jumping, competition judging, and instructing students in their equestrian lessons. His love for ice skating led to paired figure skating competitions and the annual role of Santa Claus in the Rochester Holiday Ice Skating show, performed with the Rochester Philharmonic at the Blue Cross Arena. Later, Jim developed a passion for filming, developing a name for himself, and is widely known for assisting RIT’s film students in completing their thesis by taking on roles in short films.

CHILI: Pilcher, David Robert, died on March 9, 2026, at age 66. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Joan (Ellinwood) Pilcher. He is survived by his three children, William (Amanda) Pilcher, Ashley (Kari) Pilcher, and Jessica (Joshua) Voncannon; six grandchildren, Alexis, Charlotte, Ryleigh, and Kallen Pilcher, and Emma and Emmet Voncannon; siblings, Sharon (Ronald) Castrichini, Susan Pilcher, and Douglas (Roseann) Pilcher; and many nieces and nephews. David was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, rising to the rank of Sgt. E4. Over the years, he enjoyed living in Chili, Gates, Caledonia, and Spencerport. David loved bowling, golfing, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. David worked in manufacturing for most of his career, including owning and operating Davane Associates for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing cards and loved jazz music.

CHURCHVILLE: Leone, Marlene L., age 84, died March 7, 2026. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George; parents, Mary (John), and Angelo. She is survived by her sister, Joanne (predeceased by Ernie), and Frank (Patti); children, Christopher (Pamela), Scott (Danielle), and Danielle (Jason); grandchildren, Evalise (Matthew), Christopher, Zachary, and Katelyn; and one great-grandchild. A woman of faith, she was a devoted Catholic whose kindness, compassion, and generosity reflected the values she held close to her heart. She loved tending to her garden and caring for the flowers and plants she nurtured. Time spent with family meant everything to her. She treasured her time visiting Italy and Aruba with her family, as well as her trips to North Carolina to visit her children and grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 21 Main Street, Churchville. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 21, at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 11 North Main Street, Churchville, at 10 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, North Main Street, Churchville.
CHURCHVILLE: Rivers, Vernon B. Jr., age 64, died unexpectedly on March 9, 2026, while on a bicycle ride near his home in Churchville. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Bets Quackenbush; parents, Vernon and Joyce Rivers; son, Alex Rivers; siblings, Joy Rivers, Terry (Donna) Rivers, Tracy (Tammy) Rivers; and numerous nieces and nephews. With an affinity to work with his hands, he had a love for mechanics, building with wood or stone, and a natural talent for art. Vern was a man who had so much to offer to everyone and anyone. He was a loving and loyal son, a man of faith, and a fiercely devoted husband. He was proud of the community he lived in.
A wake for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 21, at Leo Bean and Sons Funeral Home, 2771 Chili Avenue, Rochester, from 1 to 4 p.m., with a short service at 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home. There will be a gathering for all at the Churchville Moose Lodge #2244, 5709 Chili Riga Center Road, Churchville, at 5 p.m. Donations can be made to the Union Settlement Cemetery, 21 County Road 26, West Monroe, NY 13167, in his memory.
CHURCHVILLE: White, Joanne C. (Savino), age 86, died March 10, 2026. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Josephine Savino. She is survived by her loving husband, James White; children, Karen Tuccio and David Sam Tuccio; stepson, John White Bronson and his husband, Harry Bronson; granddaughter, Dana Tuccio and fiancé Max Tuccio; sister, Roslyn Patti and husband, Robert Patti. Following a career as a dental hygienist, she dedicated many years of service to the Monroe County Health Department, where she built a long and respected career in Human Resources. Joanne spent several years as a librarian at the Chestnut Ridge Elementary School in Churchville, where she enjoyed helping the students. Countless years volunteering at the LPGA tournaments at Locust Hill Country Club, Lilac Festivals at Highland Park, and training camp concessions for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were some of her many passions.

HILTON: Duggan, Anne Marie Statt, died on March 12, 2026, at age 84. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John (2024); grandchildren, Nicholas Emerson and Wesley Stack; parents, Roman and Eloise Statt; sister, Katherine Sabido; and brother, Robert Statt. She is survived by her children, Patrick (Susan) Duggan and Nancy Ann Tessier; grandchildren, Derek and Dana Duggan, and Patrick Stack Jr.; three great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Anderson; and nieces and nephews. She began working for Harris Seed Co. at the age of 14. After high school, she continued her education at St. Mary’s School of X-Ray, earning an associate’s degree in respiratory therapy in 1962. She began her career as an X-Ray technician for two years and then worked as a medical secretary for nephrologists for 15 years, finally retiring from Unity Hospital. In 1977, she joined the Hilton Fire Department Ambulance Corps and served as an EMT for 23 years. She served as captain of the Ambulance Corps and secretary of the Hilton Fire Department. She was also president of the Hilton Rotary Club. In 2006, she joined Impact Print Solutions, Inc., owned by her son, Patrick, where she served as comptroller. A woman of strong faith, Anne was a devout member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. In her leisure, she enjoyed traveling with John on their boat, “Serenity 4,” along with playing golf and tending her gardens
Anne’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton. Interment in Parma Union Cemetery. HILTON: Fronckowiak, Anton, died suddenly on March 10, 2026, at age 61. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Maria Fronckowiak; brothers, Max Fronckowiak, Jerome Fronckowiak, and Paul (Yael Gottlieb) Fronckowiak; nieces, Hannah, Amanda, Caitlin, and Nava; nephew, Lev; great-niece, Mya; and friends. Anton was born in Asmara, Ethopia and moved to the U.S. with his family as a toddler. He worked as a printing press operator for Adflex in Rochester as well as several other companies in the area, taking pride in the skill and precision his trade required. He had a deep appreciation for history and enjoyed participating in American Revolutionary War reenactments. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing in the Southern Tier. He cherished the freedom of the open road and was happiest riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Visitation was held on March 18 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., in Hilton. Private Interment at the convenience of the family.
HOLLEY: Applegate, Richard H., age 64, died February 22, 2026. He was born August 4, 1961, in Brockport, a son of Wendell and the late Janet (Park) Applegate. In addition to his mother, Richard was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Mary and Buddy Wood. Richard is survived by his wife, Wendy (Wheeler) Applegate; sons, Ricky Applegate (Rachel) and Alex Applegate (Juli); grandchildren, Annabel, Olivia, and Emilia; father, Wendell; brother, Russell William Applegate (Tammy); nieces, Crystal, Kori, and Katie; nephew, Jacob; great-nieces and nephews, Jordan, Morgan, Isabella, Gabriel, Michael, Lillian, and Maverick; and sister and brother-in-law Scott and Cheri Mercer.

HOLLEY: Kerr, Connie E., age 62, died on March 10, 2026. She was born September 20, 1963, in New Castle, PA, to John and Carol (Majors) Kerr. Connie was predeceased by her father, John; sons, Geno and Angelo; and sister, Lori. She is survived by her loving significant other, James Stone; daughter, Toni (Chris Edwards) Rapone; mother, Carol Noble; grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Michael, Delilah, Angelo Jr., Valentina, Gianna, and Geno Jr.; siblings, Renee (Chris) Watt, John (Ruth Ann) Kerr, and Paul Kerr; many nieces and nephews; and former husband, Eugene Rapone. Connie enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock like the Rolling Stones and Bob Seger. She loved to be outside, enjoying nature and spending time by the water: at the beach, lake, or seeing the waterfalls at Letchworth State Park. She also loved to indulge in seafood, particularly crab legs.

HOLLEY: Klier-Hinkley, Ingeborg E. “Inge,” age 73, died unexpectedly on March 13, 2026. She was born March 10, 1953, in Germany to Franz and Rose (Holcer) Klier. Mrs. Klier-Hinkley was predeceased by her husband, Roger Hinkley, and father, Franz Klier. She is survived by her mother, Rose Caley, and many friends. Inge was a graduate of Greece Athena High School and of The Pratt Institute in NYC with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She worked in the cafeteria of SUNY Brockport for BASC and had a great rapport with all the students. Inge enjoyed anything to do with the fashion industry, sewing, and gardening.
