He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Alfred (Betty) Jensen, and his maternal grandparents, Ralph (Carol) Garrison. Tyler had an affinity for “loud,” as emphasized by every stereo system he needed in every vehicle he owned. He enjoyed music and movies, often quoting lines at a dime drop to fit the moment perfectly. His wits were never short. His meticulous attention to detail led him to work on a range of projects, both large and small. From small engines, skateboards, or woodworking, to cars and trucks, his passion, employed by pride, drove results (some positive and some negative) but never resulted in quitting – a word and action completely foreign to him.

A Celebration of Tyler’s Life will be shared by his family, targeting summer 2026. In remembrance of Tyler’s humor, kindly consider making a small (or many) donations in the amount of $3.50 to Rochester General Hospital Addiction Services, 490 East Ridge Road, Rochester, NY14621,or Craig A. Goodrich Dog Shelter, 80 Railroad Avenue, Hamlin, NY 14464-9598. Tyler would comically recite “….Imma need about tree-fiddy,” a TV show quote that often got him laughing to no end. If you know, you know.   Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton.

SPENCERPORT: Carr, Leslie John, died February 13, 2026. He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Ellen Mae Koetz Carr; children, Dorraine (Gary) Kirkmire, Tim (Joann) Carr, Greg Carr, and Janene Swanson (John Kirkmire); ten grandchildren, Gene (Christine), Rob (Katie), Aaron, Dan (Anne), Andrew, Macey, Bobby, Katie, Chelsea (Jason), Jayson (Lauren); and nine great-grandchildren. Les was a performer at his core, but his true masterpiece was the way he made people feel. While he found great joy in bringing music and laughter to others, his greatest gift was his ability to inspire. An accomplished bagpiper, Les spent his life honoring traditions and stirring souls with his music. He was a man who lived at full volume, and his signature whistle could brighten even the darkest room. That same infectious spirit fueled his many passions. Whether he was mentoring the boys of Scout Troop 84, building and flying rockets, or hosting legendary snowmobile or 4th of July parties, Les was a teacher at heart. He didn’t just share his hobbies—like woodworking or his love for the gym—he shared his mindset: that life should be lived with kindness, joy, curiosity, and purpose.

His Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on February 20 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Private Entombment, Riverside Cemetery. Donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org) in his memory.
