Andrew Fowler Elected Hilton Mayor

Trustee Race is Tight
Andrew Fowler won the race to be Hilton’s next mayor during the Village Election held on March 18. The three-term village trustee received 412 votes, more than half of all votes cast. He defeated opponents Larry Speer and Michael Sengillo, who received 222 and 152 votes, respectively.
Fowler says he is deeply honored by the trust residents have placed in him. “From the very beginning, our grassroots campaign has been driven by the belief that Hilton’s future is bright and full of promise. I look forward to working alongside the incoming Village Board to deliver on the goals and expectations we have set forth together,” Fowler said in a statement posted on Facebook.
The race to fill two open trustee positions is much closer, and as of March 25, the Monroe County Board of Elections had yet to certify the results, including absentee ballots. Unofficial results show Jamie Attoma receiving the most votes among the four-person field with 381. Attoma ran on the Hilton’s Future line alongside Fowler. Christine Brower and John Steinmetz both ran on the Hilton Forward line and received 371 and 355 votes, respectively. Former Mayor Joe Lee came in fourth with 261 votes.
