Brockport Village Election Results

The Brockport Village Election was held on Tuesday, June 16. After months of controversy, voters chose not to abolish the Village Court. According to the unofficial vote totals, the proposition was defeated by just 25 votes, with 353 voting to abolish the court and 378 voting against.
The current Village Justices, Christopher R. Martin and William G. Andrews, Jr., were each re-elected to serve four-year terms from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2030. They received 478 and 455 votes, respectively.
In the Trustee race, Sandeep Singh defeated Scott W. Hunsinger by a vote of 403 to 309. Appointed to the Board in 2025, Singh has now been elected to serve a two-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028. During his campaign, Singh said he would work to stabilize village taxes; revamp the Village’s grant-writing capabilities; focus on water/sewer and recreational area projects; and work with village merchants to find solutions for downtown revitalization.
