Journey Home Reopens

A Place of Compassion and Peace

The goal at Journey Home is to embrace loved ones on their final journey by offering them physical, emotional and spiritual care. This care is given by a dedicated team of volunteers, nurses and an all-volunteer board. Since 1999 Journey Home has had the honor and privilege of serving over 500 residents. Nestled on the corner of Vintage and Long Pond Road in Greece, residents and their families can enjoy a lovely treed lot alongside a flowing stream, providing a peaceful, tranquil setting. There is no charge to come to Journey Home, they survive solely on donations, memorials, and fundraisers, such as the $9.94 or more campaign.

According to the Director of Journey Home, Tracey Jagla, RN, BSN, “After 6 months, we are finally able to reopen and welcome residents again. It has been so difficult to not care give for those in our community. I want the community to know that we are back and about to celebrate our 22nd Year of caring in the community. Due to the fact that we survive only on donations and memorials, we are obviously low on our financial support. We are also experiencing a lower volunteer count and need to reach out to the community to remind them we are still here and wanting to continue our care of the dying.”
