C-C teacher named Woman of the Year
Phyllis Contestable was named the 2005 Woman of the Year in the Arts from the Vince Lombardi Lodge Italian Community Association. At the same ceremony, Churchville graduate Raphael Ponti was also honored as the Distinguished Conductor/Musician of the Year. more

Seventh-graders at the A.D. Oliver Middle School are starting a community service project to help a school in Mississippi restock their library. The library in the Baywaveland Middle School in Mississippi was destroyed with the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina. more

Tower Fine Arts Center installs hearing assistance system
SUNY College at Brockport announced that an infra-red hearing system has been installed at Tower Fine Arts Center, making it possible for those who are hard-of-hearing to enjoy the theatre performances and musical concerts that take place in Tower's Mainstage theatre. more

Bertolani scores game winner
Senior Mark Bertolani scored the game winning goal just 49 seconds into the third period as Churchville-Chili defeated Canandaigua 4-3 for the first sectional playoff victory in the school's nine-year hockey history. more

Collier signs letter of intent
Churchville-Chili's Kevin Collier signed his letter of intent to attend the University of Pittsburgh on a Division I full football scholarship, as his family and coaches look on. more

Gymnasts compete in Erie
Bright Raven Gymnasts competed in the 2006 Stars and Stripes Invitational in Erie, Pennsylvania on February 3-5. more

Hilton players advance in free-throw contest
Several Hilton area basketball players have advanced through the local round of the Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Contest. Participants shoot 25 free throws and compete against others in their age group to count numbers of shots made. more

Saints' Kuntz Player of the Year
Churchville-Chili senior goaltender Danny Kuntz was named the Monroe County High School Hockey League White Division Player of the Year for the 2005-06 campaign. more
