Spencerport family raises guide dog puppy
The Lowe family, volunteer puppy raisers for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, have just seen their puppy graduate as a full-fledged guide dog. Tammy, a yellow female labrador retriever, had been with the Lowe family since she was eight weeks old. more

In the Town of Clarkson, long-time Supervisor Paul Kimball easily retained his seat by a more than 2-to-1 margin. more
Election results
Voters in the towns of Bergen, Clarendon, Murray and Sweden came out on November 8 to cast their votes for supervisors, justices, clerks and town council members. more
Riga residents vote for change
Voters in the Town of Riga cast their ballots overwhelmingly for change in the make up of the town board. Town board member Pamela Moore, in her bid for the town supervisor seat, garnered 1,137 votes. more
Senator earns statewide award for senior advocacy
Senator George Maziarz (62nd District) received an honor from the New York StateWide Senior Action Council (StateWide) and the Capital Area Consortium on Aging and Disability (CACAD). more

C-C grad completes first marathon
Churchville-Chili graduates Kelly Stevens, 23, completed her first marathon in Washington, DC on October 30. She competed in the 30th Annual Marine Corps Marathon as a member of the Northern Florida chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. more

Hamlin Recreation is studying the sponsorship of Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth baseball teams for the 2006 season. This is a travel league playing from May to July. Both players and coaches are needed. more

More than 200 students in grades three to six ran for fun and physical fitness during the Brockport Central School District's Fifth Annual Fun Run. more
