Hilton Middle School teacher honored for dedication to veterans

On June 24, Merton Williams Middle School Social Studies Teacher Pam Tenny was honored for her 30 years of teaching and her dedication to the veterans in our community. In front of a crowd of veterans, her fellow teachers, her students and local dignitaries, Tenny was presented with the New York State American Legion Red, White and Blue Award by members of the Hiscock-Fishbaugh American Legion Post 788, and a NYS Assembly citation by Assemblyman Josh Jensen, her former student. Tenny also was honored with a brick in the memorial at Hilton Community Center for the many Veterans Day ceremonies that she organized over the years.
