Chili to benefit from $100,000 study
According to Chili Supervisor Steve Hendershott, the Ballantyne Road Corridor Study has been funded for $100,000 in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Update. The study will examine traffic conditions on Route 252 from the Ballantyne Bridge to Chili Avenue and then continuing on to the Union Street exit of I-490. more

The Hilton High School Class of 1983 is in the midst of planning their 20th reunion. It will take place Saturday, July 26 at Golden Ponds Party House at 500 Long Pond Road. Cost is $45 per person. There will be dinner, dancing, entertainment, and reminiscing. more

No increase in Kendall School District budget
Voters in the Kendall School District will be asked to approve a $12,899,191 budget on June 3. The budget figure represents no increase over last year's figures, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael O'Laughlin said. "A zero percent budget increase is incredible to me," he said. "We've offset all of the increases with reductions at various levels." more

Spencerport High School tech program receives state approval
Spencerport High School students recently gained a new and powerful tool to help them facilitate their eventual transition from formal education to the workplace. The New York State Education Department's Office of Workforce Preparation approved the district's Career and Technical Education Certification in Office Technology last month, making Spencerport High School the first non-BOCES public school in the state to offer such a program. more
