Monroe County fleet center wins project of the year award
Passero Associates received a 2004 "Project of the Year" award from the New York State chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) for the Monroe County Inter-Agency Public Works Facility. The facility serves as the fleet center for service and distribution of Monroe County vehicles. This award was in the Structures $2 to $10 million category. more

Requests for district additions being accepted
The New York State Agricultural and Markets Law makes provisions for property owners to request agricultural land to be added to an established agricultural district. This can be done during a 30-day period as designated by the Monroe County Legislature. more

Hilton School board approves budget
Hilton school board members voted unanimously to approve a $57.1 million spending plan. The budget for 2005-2006 is 4.63 percent higher than the budget currently in place. What that means for taxpayers is a tax rate increase of 2.95 percent. more

Presidential Award winner
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton congratulated LeeAnn Cervini from the Terry A. Taylor Elementary School in Spencerport on receiving a 2004 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. more
