New walking, biking brochure available
A guide for "Walking and Biking Around Brockport" has been published by the Village of Brockport and the Town of Sweden with the assistance of a grant from the NYS Certified Local Government program. The brochure is a revision and expansion of the "Walking Tour of Brockport" guide that was published in 2000. more

Sneaker project wrap-up
The Spencerport Rotarians, pictured here, pitched in at one of their weekly meetings to catalog and bag 700 pairs of used sneakers that were transported to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. more

Supervisor and councilmember seek top spot in Riga election
Town of Riga Councilperson Pam Moore and incumbent Supervisor Tim Rowe are both seeking the supervisor seat in the November election. Rowe was the successful Republican candidate in the primary. Moore is running on the Independence and Working Families lines. more

Sweden supervisor runs unopposed
Sweden Supervisor Nat O. (Buddy) Lester III is seeking re-election because he'd like to continue working on projects already started, including the expansion of water and sewer districts, the development of the park, modernization of the town code, maintenance of infrastructure and stewardship of facilities (such as High Street Cemetery and Lakeview Cemetery). more

Dennis Roach, a first time candidate, is seeking the position of Town of Hamlin supervisor against Patricia MacIntosh, who has worked as the secretary to the Hamlin supervisor but is seeking election the first time. more
