Library establishes wish list on line
The Ogden Farmers' Library has recently established a wish list on the Internet book-buying site Amazon.com. This list contains titles of books, videos, DVDs, and music CDs that the library would like to add to its collection. more

Ryans honored with Rotary award
Debbie and Bob Ryan of Ryan's Big M in Brockport were the recipients of a Community Citizen for 2003-2004 award from the Brockport Rotary Club. more

Sharing the summer

Brockport Community Museum in planning stages
The proposed Brockport Community Museum is the recipient of a $2,450 "Get Set" grant from the New York State Council of the Arts, according to Bill Andrews, president of the museum's board of trustees. The grant will pay for the services of Dr. Christopher S. Clarke to assist the board in strategic planning. more

Burglars arrested in Ogden
A house burglary occurred at 100 Mats Drive in the Town of Ogden, June 16. Upon returning home from school, a 13 year old discovered two suspects in her house. She immediately ran next door to a neighbor and called police. A short time later the suspect vehicle was observed on Canal Road in the Town of Ogden by Officer John Eeckhout. more

Church celebrates Heritage Sunday
The United Methodist Church of North Chili is celebrating Heritage Sunday on June 22 as part of its Sesquicentennial (150 years) of service to the community. more

Lakeside awarded accreditation from joint commission
Lakeside Memorial Hospital and Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in Brockport have achieved the Gold Seal of ApprovalTM for health care quality - hospital and long term care accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. more
